As for why this stock has a large spread, it is fairly thinly traded. I don't think that the risk is that much greater than that of any other smallish company, (In fact, as an employee, I consider the company pretty safe in the near term at the very least) but it seems that the big boys can't believe that the stock can maintain itself. Well, either way, by accident of employment, I follow this stock. Of course I keep buying it too:-)
As for the one million shares traded, the company's CEO didn't know who it was as of 5:00 EST on that day, but since each trade can count for more than one share of volume, I expect that the actual trade was under 500,000 shares. Still for Unison, with around 8 million shares outstanding, and only four million being held outside of the company, that is a huge turnover. |
