With out speed AOL's content can't compete. The next generation internet will be a video on demand one and have all kinds of high bandwidth applications and games. Athm has the speed AOL needs . Even AOL said they would not be left out of the cable market. Now ATHM has 51% of cable locked up and Time Warner and Media one have most of the rest of cable locked up. So who do you think AOL is going to have to deal with?
Also AT&T wants in on the internet telephony badly and they will have to pay.
