RuZZia's Victory Day Parade
PooTin wants to host a HUGE "Victory Day" parade in Moscow on May 9th. This is to celebrate the end of Russia's "Great Patriotic War," or as we call it, World War II.
Reportedly there will be MANY world leaders invited and attending that event, including the following:
President of China, Xi Jinping
President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro
Presidents of Brazil, Cuba, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, and others
The leader of Palestine (whoever that is)
That's the reason why PooTin wants to call a three day ceasefire that spans the May 9th parade. It's super ridiculous, given that this is war, not a soccer match. Can't call a timeout just because you feel like fapping your ego at the moment.
It's a Trap?
Given that Ukraine has demonstrated the ability to strike targets deep within RuZZia, even at distances further than Moscow, and given that RuZZian air defenses are about as airtight as a fishing net, there is an enormous risk of this parade getting struck by one or more Ukrainian drones.
PooTin might be stupid, but certainly he can't be THIS st00pid. So why would he do this? Why would he call for a ceasefire, invite many world leaders, and have them concentrated in one area that, quite frankly, is a legitimate target by a nation he's trying to conquer?
Could it be that PooTin is daring Zelensky to attack or even kill world leaders just to bring them into his three-day war of choice?
Could it be that PooTin wants Zelensky to strike and kill a huge civilian population just so he can tell Trump, "See? See? Ukraine is also targeting civilians!"
Or maybe that's too risky for PooTin. Maybe he simply wants to stroke his ego. Maybe he's confident in his air defenses being able to intercept any strike that Ukraine may attempt.
Not a Good Idea
No matter what, it's probably not a good idea to strike the parade. It's just too risky, and for what?
To destroy military hardware that will be on display? LOL, there probably won't be any.
To kill political leaders, including PooTin himself? Maybe, but the collateral damage, including hundreds of civilian deaths, might backfire on Ukraine. One could argue that RuZZian civilians are legit targets in a war where RuZZia is deliberately targeting Ukrainian civilians, but in this day and age, the political calculus might still be too risky.
(By the way, every single world leader that attends the May 9th parade should be well aware that they too are legitimate targets in a war zone. For them to attend says a LOT about how little they care for PooTin's war crimes and for the legitimacy of Ukraine's survival.)
The Smart Response by Ukraine
Instead, Ukraine should respond by striking a whole host of OTHER facilities and infrastructure, especially oil refineries, weapon caches, war factories, etc.
Ukraine might even take this opportunity to finally strike the Kerch bridge again.
They can take advantage of scattered RuZZian air defenses, which will no doubt be concentrated around Moscow in order to prevent any attack on PooTin's precious little parade.
And striking a whole host of targets on May 9th will send a clear message to RuZZia and to the rest of the world. Ukraine can strike anywhere at anytime, even in Moscow if they so choose.
