Talked to Nanita Wadell at Somatogen late today. She said no news was in the offing. She maintained that Corporate partner discussions were continuing and they expect to sign up the partner before the end of 2nd quarter, 1998. She also mentioned that out of appr. 500 2nd generation recombinant Hb molecules prepared by genetic engineering, 2-3 are in final stages of selection for clinical trials. She said they expect to file NDA with FDA in later part of this year.

I have no idea about Yahoo story of 9 $ soon. May be someone knows about the corporate partner situation more intimately than I know. I doubt a hostile take over in view of poison pill provision.
