Of course Donald Trump is trying to manipulate the discussion with Canada, it is part of his negotiating process, the key for Canada is to negotiate back like reasonable people, and not go off as if the devil incarnate is trying to destroy Canada. It's ridiculous, and the one person who did go down and try to pitch their stance and negotiate (Danielle Smith), is labeled/painted as a traitor, when she clearly is a reasonable, thinking, responsible leader. Did she get all that she asked for? She did not, but that is what happens when people negotiate, there is compromise. There are more discussions to come obviously.
