What's that mean..pull someone over and have to call a translator to show up?
The translator doesn't have to show up in person. He or she can talk to the person over the radio or the phone.

Either way, the "translation problem" has existed for decades. It's one of the reasons why America didn't have an "official language" until now. There are tens of millions of Americans living in immigrant communities where English isn't spoken natively.

My mother, for example, became a naturalized citizen despite not speaking English fluently. Even now, her English is as broken as a record. Everywhere she goes, everyone she hangs out with speaks mostly Korean.

Of course, that bothers guys like you who thinks we cater too much to non-English speakers.
You didn't comment on the dubs must have been pulling for Houston.
