Exactly right, and even though I'm not (yet) ready to make Adcock wear the hair shirt for this latest debacle, one statement attributed to him at the Investor Day conference was "we are on the verge of curing cancer." I have not verified that he said that, but it's been stated in a few forums. Serious people, and people who want to be taken seriously, just don't say things like that - even if it's their sincere subjective belief. It demonstrates a lack of professionalism and maturity.
