Her statement, from the DOJ website:

“The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi. “Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.”

The defendants charged by the DOJ to date have set fires using incendiary devices, and at least one firearms charge. Ie, things that have federal criminal statutes.

The straw man you are attacking is all in your head.
