The Trump Admin., wants to create a 'Consumption based Tax System
I'm actually in favor, theoretically-speaking, of a consumption-based tax system.

However, that's not what Trump wants, because frankly he doesn't know anything about the comparative advantages and disadvantages of tax systems.

Instead, what Trump wants is whatever will get him the most praise from his vast army of "yes men." Today, it might be whatever the authors of Project 2025 want. Tomorrow, it might be whatever the Muskperger is amplifying on X.

His dumbass tariff policy, which changes with the wind, should tell you everything you need to know about Trump and what he believes in.
