Trump has been in love with tariffs for forty years, long before he entered politics. He saw manufacturing and the jobs move to China and other countries, while the US stood by and did nothing to save them. He has seen rust belt cities hollowed out and middle America sinking. He thinks he can bring the jobs back with tariffs.

I don't. Not any more, and certainly not in the time he has left in his presidency.
