I am a new owner of BARR stock, and new to this thread. While I understand why penny stock investors are so suspicious of market maker manipulations, I do not understand why it is a recurring theme here. As far as I can tell, market makers and traders have not kept this stock down--to the contrary, there has been a 40 % rise from the under $10 price that prevailed not three months ago. The only people I know of who are obsessed with every twitch of the bid and ask are day traders and "in and out" traders looking to make a quick buck by watching stocks tick-by-tick. There's no evidence market makers and traders are holding this stock down; this is just a paranoid fantasy by those who themselves have trader impulses, and annoying to those here who are interested in holding this stock long term, as an INVESTMENT.
