Mike,

Thanks for your perspectives. I find nothing with which to disagree. You are right about the Y2K issue being not significant.

I found my copy of the Oppenheimer recommendation. In the verbiage the analyst calls for a price in the low 30's but the official 12 month target was $30. So I think she raised her target by three dollars, or 10%.

I do not understand the politics of the Gartner group analysis, but I did hear a warning from an analyst that sometimes the best product is not the one chosen. This guy also suggested that CA might be a more formidable competitor as things go forward, leading to a slowing of DDDDF's top-line growth.

His perspective is interesting, but he had attributed the current growth to the Bool and Babbage connection. Based on the conference call, that partnership was a drag last year and should make a nice incremental contribution to sales in the coming months.

The one issue that you did not comment on is that of a possible acquisition. Isn't DDDDF's product line a very desirable addition to the suite of offerings of a company like CA? The Oppenheimer valuation of 5 x current sales translates to a nice premium over current price, if a buyout were to take place.

I wonder where is Hollander in the current situation? Holding a large stake in the company gives him some influence, even without control. Perhaps he sold some shares in the 5 5/8 point drop on Thursday.

Do you have any further comments? Thanks in advance for all of us holders,

Elliot
