Now all we need is to focus on the peak demand hours between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM. Batteries seem to be fulfilling a significant portion of the demand, but natural gas still dominates. Gotta get to the point where batteries exceed natural gas.

Yes,

pretty impressive how rapidly solar and especially storage continues to buildout in California.

NG peakers will be first to go and be permanently displaced by batteries.

Here is the link to BPA's transmission and generation here in the Pacific Northwest. Most of the dams on the Snake and Columbia river's and other generation sources in it's system including transmission to So Cal, HVDC and AC.
