Hiking this summer....;-}

Hello Carol,

Yes, I will be doing some hiking over the summer... along with Maggie..(-:

I may do all or part of the Rideau Trail hike between Ottawa and Kingston once the weather becomes good and the trails are dry.

Apart from that, I would like to go down east this summer... I hiked in Maine and Vermont last year, but I haven't hiked in Nova Scotia in awhile. Good hiking around Blomidon and Cape Split and I've been wanting to go to Briar Island and maybe go out whale watching from there. But now that I think of it, Grand Manan Island is sort of next on my list... so perhaps this will be the year.

But then there is always the canoeing... I'm counting the days until the canoe hits the water for the first time this year... Perhaps there will even be with a new canoe if all goes right... Maggie would like that.. (-:
