Nice, reality based post.

It's hard to defend the indefensible. The performance of the stock is abominable and I can't see the street giving any real credence to modest positive earnings per share with the past reputation of present management. There's just too much past mud to walk through.

Things will need to change if CCC is going to grow. Theres's many a CEO who has moved over and let someone else do the flying while still maintaining a healthy portion of ownership in the plane. There is no dishonor in this. In essence, knowing when to leave for the collective good defines wisdom in being a leader. This is nearly a proverb in all but rare circumstances.

It was addressed to me in email by Rich Revenson that to hand over the scepter with dignity will likely spell the difference of present management being rich or becoming obscenely wealthy! (Hope you don't mind me quoting your sage insight Rich.)
