I have had a knee replacement. I got it when I couldn't wak up or down the front steps, or walk as far as the city sidewalk. Every surgeon will tell you not to go ahead with a joint replacement until you are ready to jump into the surgeon's arms. Same probably goes for hip replacements. Regarding private health care in Alberta, do your own research.
