Ditch: I run a consulting business out of my house. It's in the technology industry too. Maybe I should go public and issue a hundred million shares and sell them at $0.10 a share to everyone that thinks because you start in a garage you're a future microsoft / apple / dell / whatever. What do you think? Would you buy some? Start the bidding... Seriously though. I think TG hit the nail on the head. Lots of great companies start out somewhere like that. They're usually not public at the time though. Secondly they usually don't issue a news release that gives investors the impression of dealing with a company that will bring them to the "next level".
