<Chartcraft - slow poke> Hi Paul,
I subscribe to Biweekly Technical review because it is the best place to find out what is happening in the subgroups. Scobey's groups are narrower than Tom's, but not as narrow as Chartcraft's. Scobey's info is very timely, but he doesn't have a track record yet. You need to subscribe to get a peek at his subgroups.

According to an article in yesterday's IBD, subgroup movement contributes 3 time the effect of broad group movement on a stock's price move. I believe the numbers are broad group contributes 12% to a stock's move and subgroup movement contributes 37% to a stock's move. It's in the A section around page 4 or 5. I'm going to ask Tom what he thinks of these numbers during his next Q&A go-around.

The Chartcraft broad group info is timely because they have a hotline that updates the broad group moves on Wednesdays. Also, securitytrader.com has reliable broad group info.

I think Chartcraft is worth it because of the subgroup info. I adjust the Chartcraft subgroup data with IBD data between issues when necessary. The details if your interested - (note that "removal up" should be "reversal up")

Hope this helps. The best solution would be for DWA to provide subgroup data (for subgroups of sufficient size) or have Chartcraft go on-line.
