Shashyazhi -

Thanks for the great posts on the technology. I have really enjoyed them. Being an EE myself - 'God is in the details'. Your last post created a 'click' in my mind re pulse tech. Now I understand how crucial the machining of the cam is. (Since it is what governs the opening and closing of the valves) I now view the engine in terms of tuned resonator where you need to shape the waveform very carefully. Where rise and fall timing needs to be tightly controlled to minimize unwanted harmonics. I also see now what you mean about the (tuned)lengths of the manifolds and how it is desirable to use the 1st harmonic to reduce wavelength. Finally, I can see how the process can reach around and bite you in the a** if things are just a little out of tolerance. Any idea how wear will affect the pulse timing? I would expect a rather flat mph / wear curve out to some value, then an extremely sharp falloff in performance...Any ideas?

Once again, thanks. Your posts are one of the things that has made me understand what BAT is all about. They give credibility to the company's tech.
