A real shame to see this. I worked there many years ago and it was one of the best stints of my career. John Palmour was the best boss I ever had....a brilliant and very fair man. Lowe made some very risky and ill-timed decisions and walked away with millions more in his bank account. I find it strange that they bring in a new CEO right before this.....something about the whole thing seems a little fishy to me. Another question is how does this change the SiC materials marketplace? I know the Chinese as of late have been coming on strong with good quality stuff and lower pricing. Probably one of the big factors in this demise....... There's also the strategic importance of this business to the Govt. This was the main reason Infineon were shut out of their proposed acquisition a few years back. A lot still to unfold IMHO......
