Doug, Vishay just announced they've passed off the IC portion to Atmel for $140M. Atmel to Acquire Temic Semiconductor's Integrated Circuit Business: biz.yahoo.com I guess they really just wanted Siliconix; probably that fits best with their distribution channels. I was most interested in the potential of the SiGe technology, but that is more of a leading-edge, high risk business, not typical of Vishay's acquisitions. Will
