This period reminds me of the 1970s, a lost decade for most, where there were 50% moves up/down throughout the decade. That is to say, permabears and permabulls ( buy and hold types) took turns getting destroyed. For those who are good market timers and flexible, there will be opportunities to profit in both types of markets.

The big winners moving forward will be gold and silver.
