I've held this stock since 94 and couldn't be more pleased with the
management's handling of their matters when it comes to stockholders
and business in general. Very high book value as well. Balanced domestic/overseas
sales and so on. If you really read that release there is not going to be a drop
in sales, its just going to cost a little to get set up as direct.
Everytime they make a move like this, or purchase a company or expend money in
general they usually have an increse in income hiding somewhere to balance it out.
Could this be it? They own Lambda Physik 100%

SECOND SHIFT ADDED TO MEET STRONG LASER DEMAND
In order to handle the strong laser demand properly, Lambda Physik has, after enlarging the
company's production area in 1995, started with a two shift production schedule on February 1,
1996. The need for an even higher number of lasers has continued to escalate over the year 1995.
"It is the first time in the company's history that we have to organize increased production capacity
this way," commented Dr. Dirk Basting, head of Lambda Physik.
All possible areas in scientific, industrial and medical sales have contributed to this strong upswing.
In parallel, Lambda Physik had all its products tested to CE standards and is close to passing the
ISO 9000 certification. The number of employees has increased from 110 to 170 within half a year
in an effort to handle the high demand on lasers.
