(ot) DD - thought all you need is the boot disk and the OS on CDrom, given that the boot disk has everything to help the laptop to recognize the CDrom (as D or E drive.) But then, you are proceeding at your own risk if you listen to me <VBG> - I spent 1/2 an hour last nite trying to install Novell remote client on my laptop [bought a Inspiron last month] but decided to watch tele instead! rgds Bosco
