We had two months of almost continuous high pressure anticyclones. The barometer looked like it was stuck at the high end. It all is coming to an end with a procession of Depressions on there way in from the Atlantic.

This how things should look by next Tuesday, and we will already had a fair amount of rain by then.

Our water comes straight off the hill. There is only a meter or two of sandy soil then solid granite. Things dry out fairly fast, but we are not as bad off as the average city. They draw down the reservoirs even faster then we drain the tank on the hill. .
