I agree that honest disagreements should be encouraged. I disagree this is a glass half-full or half-empty question. It's whether a breakthrough with blue is imminent, and what constitutes a breakthrough. I'm skeptical by nature and training, but often hold a stock on the promise of future developments. It's what makes stockpicking interesting, and it can be very rewarding financially, so skeptics like me are prepared to assume the risk of unproven returns. I sold the majority of my UDC back in 2021, and the remainder in 2022. We'd been promised a year or two previously, we'll have Blue when we need it! Looking at the P/E and reading this board, I judged we needed it then in 2021. The P/E is still over 30 today, sustained by the same promise. Stacking layers of blue OLEDs will mean more revenue to UDC for each stacked panel, but I doubt it will move the total earnings much. I'm still waiting, preferring to be on the sideline.
