Too many people is a planet wide problem. It's probably better for the Earth to confine the humans to a few super tall cities and let the rest of the world, including most of the oceans, live at a more bucolic condition. We need forests and lakes and grassland much more than we need multi-acre exurburban plots with a couple of buildings.
