My comparison of the March/April price action to similar movement that followed the May 19 peak quickly blew up when a federal trade court struck down Trump’s reciprocal tariffs earlier this evening. The S&P futures jumped about 100 points on that news, slightly exceeding the 5/19 high. This ruling will likely get appealed and potentially overturned, but that could take some time. In the meantime, the power of all the strong buy signals generated at the April lows doesn’t seem to be depleted yet.
