Joachim, look at the two key points of the definition of a constitutional republic:
  • The Constitution limits majority power to protect minority rights (e.g., Bill of Rights).
  • Laws are not made by popular vote but by officials bound to constitutional principles.
a) I don't see you assholes protecting the rights of minorities. In fact, you want to round them up and throw them in a foreign gulag without due process. That includes LEGAL immigrants as well as the illegal ones you keep complaining about.

b) Trump doesn't give a shit about the law, nor does he give a shit about the boundaries set by the Constitution. He said it himself, "WE are the law," meaning he and his fellow kiss-assers in the executive branch. And he thinks he's entitled to say that because of the popular vote.

c) Moreover, your overall argument is a classic false dilemma. When most people talk about a democracy, they are obviously referring to our current system of representative democracy. But nope, you MAGA cultists pretend that the only "democracy" that exists out there is the "pure/direct democracy."

No matter what, Joachim, the statement "We are not a democracy" is utter dishonesty on your part. You might as well do away with elections, if you don't think we're a democracy.
