PDG Environmental Team Awarded $1.75 Million Diplomat Project

MONROEVILLE, Pa., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- PDG Environmental, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PDGE - news) announced
today the award of a $1.75 million asbestos removal project at the Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood, Florida. The two-month
project will be performed jointly with Philip Services Corporation (NYSE: PHV - news). The asbestos is being removed
from the Florida landmark in preparation for demolition to make way for a $400 million resort and condominium
development, scheduled to be completed by New Year's Eve 1999.
