In the Phoenix, AZ area, today June 1, it has not rained (nor any other form of precipitation such as hail) since 1914, or 101 years ago. Today, a slow moving low pressure system originating off the coast of California is interacting with remnant moisture from former Mexican Tropical Storm Alvin to bring rain and thunderstorms to the greater Phoenix area. The count will end at 101 years... EK!!!
