Larry: OFF TOPIC Thanks for Schwab-related topics and recommendations. I have been using Schwab for five years out of their London international office involving very substantial volume trading. Despite glitches, the relationship has been positive. Recently, they have committed just about the worsed indiscretion a broker can visit on a client, breaching fiduciary and other responsibilities. Their senior counsel appears to be admitting the error and we are in negotiations to put things right, to avoid my having to start a law suit in California. However, they have lost my confidence and I will be moving my account shortly. Most of the US brokers are not licensed to take on non-US residents. (We don't pay US taxes and they have to conform to foreign securities laws). A few do. Following Mr. Picker's advice, Quick and Reilly have confirmed by e-mail that they do and I will be talking to them. Andrew Peck does. I was wondering if there are others.
