............the type of person that would think that online bill pay would be more of a hassle is the same guy who said, "hey, my typewriter is on immediately--why wait a minute or two for a computer to boot up? i could be done with my letter by that time--that guy bought smith corona at it's 10 year high.
..........even my wife wants to pay bills online and she is the kind of gal who wants to fold cardboard, wash baggies, avoid television, and recycle everything--that to me is bullish.
...........i still think that the banks are going to be the entry for bill pay. why? look in your local supermarket or drugstore--there will be a bank there if there is not one now. u.s. banks are not dinosaurs--they are changing fast compared to rest of the world--they are the first to go online in a big way--and they are going to be little kiosks everywhere--more places than msft.
...........don't forget that these companies like citicorp, chase, b of a, tokyo mitsubishi, etc owe nothing to micrisoft--and as you know, do not have fond feelings for that sneaky, brilliant, nerd.
.......still holding ckfr--won't sell till i see that msft has a product that will blow them away that is GAINING MARKET SHARE from ckfr--and it has not happened yet. |
