Exactly. We (the villagers) have been terrorized in turn, first by a rogue, rabid elephant and then by a mentally deranged mutant ape. It was hard for us to tend to our crops and care for our herds when we had to alternately defend ourselves from both of them, one after the other. But when they both showed up at the same time and began fighting with each other instead of terrorizing us, we were able to get back to tending our crops and caring for our herds.
