Our back- stabbing ally Israel had no problem doing it.. heartless, cruel bastards they are.

At that time I was about to be deployed to VietNam when this incident occurred.
As it was one has to asked why an American intelligence ship was all by it's lonesome off the coast of Egypt.
Obviously it was monitoring Israel's attack on their neighbors.
As I understand, the U.S. was helping Israel, but the Israeli offense was so damn effective the U.S. became worried about the Sinai Peninsula.
Instead of funneling intelligence to the Israelis, the U.S. informed the Egyptians where the Israelis were positioned.

My captain was a Green Beret.. later a 4- star general. What I write above is as such what he told us.
Despite the Israeli lies the Arab threat was non- existent preceding that 6- day war. That 6- day war was just another Israeli land- grab.

Fucking LBJ should have obliterated that Israeli land base.. instead he chose to ignore.
