That's another factor in the protests.

Trump proved that all the protesters have to do is wait for "their side" to take power, and then all is forgiven.

Pam Bondi wants to indict all of these protesters with federal charges? Oops, in comes the next administration with blanket pardons.

MAGA knows it, too, which is why just indicting them and sending them through our existing justice system isn't sufficient. They need to deny due process, deport them to a foreign gulag, and turn them into examples of what happens when you oppose the regime.

It's not going to turn out well for Trump or the MAGA cultists.

What goes around comes around goes around.
