dodging american bullets is such a way of life now. regardless.

as to sunny and lovely streets in Cambridge, joy.

Joy.... a very precious thing especially while the boy or the girl is moving into the alone ness of adult hood.

ur a lucky lucky guy to see it for them, and for you.

back in the day there was a Thomas Hardy novel I read where the main character, in a few words, had no joy, if he saw a perfect freshly cut rose, all he could see was that it would soon turn brown and fall apart. one of the best descriptions of deep depression ever written in the English language in my view.

on the other hand, I had very close relationships with some of my profs during undergraduate years, and for some reason, one of them a very dynamic lady, an amazing lady with great energy, students were lined up in the hall outside her office every single day to talk to her, out of the blue suggested I read Surprised by Joy, CS Lewis. An antidote to Thomas Hardy.

Thank you Rose Zimbardo. I assume she is no longer living.
