Israel is "fully ready" to carry out a military strike against Iran, U.S. officials have confirmed, as Tehran prepares for a large-scale retaliatory attack that could include hundreds of ballistic missiles targeting Israeli territory.
A senior Iranian official said on Thursday morning that a "friendly" country in the region has alerted Tehran about a potential Israeli attack.
According to The New York Times, senior Iranian military and government figures have already met to plan a response that could involve launching hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israel......
..... Defense Minister Gen. Aziz Nasirzadeh added that any military conflict would endanger U.S. forces in the region, warning, "America will have to leave the region because all its military bases are within our reach and we will, without any consideration, target them in the host countries."
Despite Israel's readiness for a potential strike, U.S. officials have not signaled any intention to participate in a military operation against Iran.
NBC News reported that sources were unaware of any planned U.S. involvement, and that Israel may act unilaterally, even though it typically relies on U.S. intelligence and logistical support.

I’d really love to live in a world where nuclear weapons did not exist. But can someone please explain to me how Iran is not allowed to have nuclear weapons, but Israel is. And not only does Israel have them - they’re undisclosed, unregulated and uninspected by the relevant international bodies. And yet, they think they have the right to dictate who else can and cannot have them. This is the same reckless country that has been carrying out atrocities and displacement against innocent people across this region of the world for decades. The same country that has been massacring, starving, and torturing the innocent people of Gaza for almost two years now. Please make it make sense.
