So many things wrong with that reel, but for entertainment I suppose.

(Couldn't they at least get the values correct??? Sheesh!)

PSA test is an indicator with lots of "false positives".

Lots of things can elevate PSA levels - such as having too much fun the night before.

Or not so fun stuff like poops that put pressure on...

Even the inventor of the test said that it was a lousy test - but - at least it provides indication that more investigation is required.

There are other tests which are more accurate, but some are more expensive or "involved", may or may not be covered by insurance, and the "involved' ones have high ick factor for many prostate people (Yay! I said something PC!). I will not describe the icky ones in this forum.

If you have high PSA levels, likely the test will be done again;
manual examination ("wheee!" or "ouch!" depending on your proclivity)

Some sort of imaging Ultrasound or MRI

Enlarged prostate can increase PSA levels so older men will often have elevated levels anyway. Still should investigate.

If something found, then biopsy.

Not fun, but not as bad as some say.

Pro tip: if you are slated for biopsy, do try to find a doctor that will perform a transperineal prostate biopsy rather than a transrectal prostate biopsy.

Just think about it (ugh) and the advantages of the transperineal is rather obvious.

Get it checked.

Now your urologist may have all sorts of toys and games that may or may not be useful for some.

Such as to measure amount of urine left after voiding (useful). Somewhat questionable ones - may be useful for some people, but for people with good body awareness, of somewhat limited utility - measure rate of urination, strength of perineum, and other factors.
You can always disappoint your Dr and say that you don't want those games or play along.
