Yep. All that.

Several years ago my PSA started climbing. 4, then 8, then 12. Doc insisted on a a rectal nail gun biopsy. Twice. I think it was 9 needles the first time, 12 the second. Nothing was found.

Then the MRI, which found a 130cc prostate. Explained a lot, such as why I had to pee every 20 minutes. No room left in the bladder! Median prostate lobe invading its space.

Doctor put me on Flowmax to relax the prostate to ease the peeing, and Proscar which reduced the size of the prostate or at least slowed down the growth. PSA went down to 6-ish and has stayed there for years.

Then I had some kind of genetics test on the prostate, which told me I am not genetically susceptible to prostate cancer. Then they ran a scope up the urethra and took a look around. Doctor told me I don't need anymore biopsies. Turns out my only problem is having a prostate the size of a canned ham.

If I sit for more than a few hours I have more trouble peeing. If I do a lot of walking for a day or two the extra trouble goes away.

I could write a lot more about enlarged prostates, but I've gotta go pee.
