He directly threatened the Iranian negotiators' safety unless they agreed to the terms he set. Very similar to what was seen in the Istanbul talks where they tried to get a ceasefire by Russia under the guise of 'peace talks' so that the war can be extended. There is no middle ground. Also, similar to what occurred in Ukraine with the purge of the negotiators who agreed to the ceasefire agreement in April 2022.
