FWIW, I feel like this is worth sharing. I have recently started taking a daily Gatorade (Gatorade Fit has very little sugar - Stevia - and no artificial colors or flavors) I happened to stumble on the fact that it makes me sleep better and seems to calm the nerves a bit. I'm not sure why. I just happened to take one a few months back and slept great. Now, it seems like every time I have one I sleep better.

Gatorade has no magnesium - the usual sleep suspect. No calcium which I have found also helps sleep. I am thinking the likely benefactor is potassium. I will experiment with a bit of potassium supplementation at some point.

Eating a banana or two never had this affect on me.

Do any of you know that potassium is something that does help sleep or nerves?
