The Israeli demo of the Iron Dome worked and the US wants a Dome too. US proposed Golden Dome missile defense system is estimated to cost $175 billion, according to President Trump's announcement. The smart Israelis want a chunk of this money. Some experts predict the total cost could be significantly higher, potentially exceeding $500 billion when considering ongoing operational and sustainment cost. This being the DoD project expect to cost runs to go up as fast as the anti missiles. It can easily double. Israel needs a constant demo of the Iron Dome for the Pentagon to push for the kickoff and use its technologies. How does the Iron Dome PR works? Just hitting a few steel tubes from Hamas and Hezbollah would not cut. It needs a more strong response. Hence the attack on Iran in April and this one on Thursday. Attack Iran. Iran reacts. Fireworks above Israel. Repeat.
