Thanks K,

That's a nicely formatted article on these cars. I liked the idea one could choose Hp/$$$ as well as appearance/$$$ through the Corvette history range. I also read through many of the comments and found them entertaining as well.

When racing my XK 120 Jaguar in some vintage events I was sometimes in the same group as the C-1 Vettes. In relatively stock trim, the Corvettes and the old Jag competed fairly well. Both had reasonable Hp/Wt and both had drum brakes (ugh!). The Jag handled better on shorter tracks like Mid-Ohio.

In the La Carrera Panamericana in the '90s our XK 140 Jag was matched in class with the C-1 6 Cylinder Vettes. Our old Cat did pretty well in the "Large Bore Production" class of sportscars. The C-1 Vettes were our biggest challenge. The Jag's top speed favored the long straight two lane roads in northern Mexico.

Best wishes,
OAG Tom
