Anyone have an Update on this as it is very IMPORTANT to the project from what I have been told?

Chesapeake Gold is currently engaged in legal proceedings with the Mexican government over the cancellation of the San Vicente 3 mineral concession, which is a key part of the Metates project. The concession covers 700 hectares out of the 4,260 hectares that make up Metates and includes a portion of the project's mineral resource.

After the Dirección General de Minas (DGM) cancelled San Vicente 3—citing alleged insufficient evidence of required exploration work—Chesapeake initiated nullity proceedings to have the cancellation declared void. The case was heard by the North Center III and Auxiliary Regional Chamber of the Federal Court of Administrative Justice. The Chamber dismissed Chesapeake's lawsuit in a 2-1 split decision, with one judge dissenting in favor of Chesapeake's arguments.

Chesapeake is now appealing this decision to the Collegiate Court and has stated its intent to pursue all available legal remedies to protect its interest in San Vicente 3. The outcome remains pending. If Chesapeake is unable to overturn the cancellation, the current resource estimates and development plans for Metates could be significantly impacted. Despite these challenges, Chesapeake continues to advance the project, including environmental studies and technology development.
