Did others read Samantha Cramer's letter in Report on Business in today's Globe & Mail? Samantha is a public relations person at PFG. I'm not able to post a copy of her letter, but basically she said that PFG had received a lot of phonecalls recently on whether Barrick was leaving. She had no information on Barrick's intentions, but did say that if Barrick left, PFG's shareholders would be even better off. She also quoted an analyst who considered PFG a buy. She stated that PFG had 91 million ounces of silver and about 300,000 ounces of gold and that results of drilling over the last six months could raise those figures by 30% to 40%. I can't remember what else was in her letter -- which wasn't just a few lines. I couldn't help but wonder if she wasn't trying to comfort PFG shareholders in case Barrick does pull out.
