Although I’d classify Type O Negative as a gothic metal band, their music definitely carried progressive influences—and they’ve long been a personal favorite. While revisiting some of their tracks on YouTube, I came across Denis Pauna, an artist who truly captures the spirit of the late Pete Steele’s voice and style. His original songs and covers channel that same deep, gothic tone, layered atmosphere, and slow-burning heaviness. If you're a fan of TON, he's absolutely worth checking out—like an alternate timeline where Type O never left us. Denis also covers other artists with great ability. His musicianship is top notch and his interpretations are great. I've quickly become a fan!
