I'm in the same boat and averaged down earlier this year just to get whacked harder. Biotech investing is always a humbling experience. I've had two big winners in ADMA and VRNA that have kept me in the black despite my shellacking in SRPT, but the XBI is basically flat over the last 10 years. Hard to make money in that environment, unless you happen to buy a small biotech with a blockbuster cancer drug when they are still fiddling with mice. Oh that's right, we did that.
