I'd rather piss away a few *illion on food stamp abuse than piss away my privacy. It's OK for grocers, in any case. There's a whole slew of products ineligible for them. It would be elementary to add junk food to the list, if the frankenfood lobby permits it. Any store can be easily busted by undercover investigators posing as SNAP beneficiaries with a grocery cart full of lobster tails and beer.

As for selling on the black market, it's rather cumbersome since food stamps are now debit cards. And not of much advantage to the holder. They might get their next fix, but most of them want to eat as well.

The government isn't stopping there. Eventually they'll know more about you than you do.
