Property taxes are another form of extortion .. IMHO. Reduced property taxes would be a great thing but what would replace them. In Florida back in the 80's a bill was crafted called Save Our Homes amendment so your property taxes could net be raised more than 3% a year .. sounds great. But the counties and municipalities started freaking out about a possible cap on how much money they could waste if home values dropped.

So they cleverly crafted a bill that everyone would pass .. don't remember what it was .. and added a clause that if passed they could KEEP their present tax revenue the same .. no way did they want a budge.and do with less like property owners. My property taxes jumped around 13 % one year then 14 % the next some years ago when property values fell. Did they ever lower their spending .. no way. . So much for 3 % .. so read the frigging bill one is voting on cause after a few years in office ( IMHO ) they are corrupted enough to place their hands in your pockets and never take them out.

So I ask again .. what do they replace it with .....
